Well...

...it only took me 3 weeks to recover my password so i could post another blog....
my brother taylor is the only one who reads them, i think- so this one's for you, Tay!

whirlwind year in review:
Feb. 2005- Thomas was born!
May 2005- Husband Jason falls about 20 ft. off ladder & broke wrist
June 2005- Cousin Sarah gets married to marvy Erik!!!
July 2005- Sister Mary-Stewart gets married to marvy Matthew!!! go girl!
Aug. 2005- My parents celebrate 35 years (while living in Amman Jordan)
Sept. 2005- I celebrate 3 years of marriage
Oct. 2005- I find out I am pregnant, again! whew!
Nov. 2005- We find out my bro. Harrison & his wife Trina are pregnant!!!! WOW!
Nov. 2005- Awesome times @ the Thanksgiving Celebration @ Huspa Plantation
Dec. 2005- 2 Christmases, one in Brewton, AL one @ home on Frances Drive!
Dec. 2005- Reluctantly, we bought a minivan..........arrrrrgggggg!

DISAPPOINTMENTS OF 2005:
1. That I haven't seen my brother, Taylor for almost 6, yes SIX months! (this is not right! something must be done about this immediately)
2. That I haven't seen my parents since T-giving, which I was VERY thankful for!
3. That we bought a minivan.........aaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggg!

(just kidding about the minivan, it really is nice and has lots more room)


i think that is a good enough job of "catching-up" for now
i am tired after rereading all that, and it was the ubershort version!

big brother

My son, Thomas is going to be a cousin (go Mose!) and he is also going to be a "Big Brother"!!! We are expecting our 2nd child on June 30th. Whew! My life is fixin' ta get hectic!

oh, well, if ya can't have twins- have your kids close together!

Barking Seals

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of a barking seal? Well....
...as a new-ish mom, it only means one thing...CROUP! My sweet baby, Thomas has learned a new trick....barking. Good thing the new aquarium is opening up soon, maybe they could use him in an exhibit? I think he will be okay soon, but it sure sounds bad @ my house!

McDuffie Surprise!

My phone beeped showing me that I had a message from someone. I did not recognize the # at first, but I knew that it was a Texas extension. The message revealed that my Great Aunt & Uncle were only a few hundred miles away from my doorstep and they wanted to stop by to meet our little son and "catch-up" with my husband and myself! What a nice surprise! They were traveling from Houston, TX by car and they wanted to "pop-in". What is really odd about this, is only a few days prior to their call, I had mentioned to my husband that I would miss them @ Thanksgiving, and I really wanted them to meet our son before he graduated from High School! And wham! They were calling ME to ask if they could come over!

WOW! I know last week I griped about Mondays, but this past Monday was the BEST!

They came over and loved on our boy and visited with us for a few hours! It sure was nice to see them. If you haven't seen or talked to someone you love in a while, call them! Better yet, "pop-in" for a visit...you might make their day!

I am feeling green today. Outside it is 50 degrees and the sun is shining...
...and it's monday. They should call it Mon-dane because after a weekend of relaxation (ha ha ha) and a First day of the week hopefully spent in Worship, there is monday...it is blah day for me! Thursdays are my favorite. Don't know why really, they are when I start to exhale, especially around 5 O'clock. That's when my favorite person gets finished @ work & I can look forward to 2 whole days of seeing the back of his head as he continuously hammers away on his latest "project", which is now our front porch!

He is so diligent. I wish I had his determination. All I can make myself do lately is dishes, and laundry when I am not changing a diaper or feeding a bottomless pit! (but a really cute bottomless pit). I guess mondays are ok as long as at the end of the day, I have done my best and haven't chewed anybody out or run anyone off the road...

dang-it!

this is the most frustrating "set-up" of anything i have done!
this is the second time and i am sure it won't work again, and i am following the directions!
(unlike when i was in 1st grade and could never seem to follow directions)!
